We have been discussing this on the April 2011 threat recently and thought it might help others. Some people where unaware on the subject.
The church i am getting married in is quite clear in there literature and i quote "we regret that the use of the service sheets that do not comply with The Copyright Act will be prohibited" they also ask that you talk to your minister to for advice on how to get permission.
Basically if you have an order of service with Hymns there may be a charge if you print it yourself or if you get someone to print it for you.

Copyright exists in creative works such as hymns for 70 years after the death of the writer. During that period, it is illegal to reproduce the works in any form without the permission of the copyright holder (or their appointed agent). Therefore, should you wish to reproduce the text of a hymn in your order of service, you will need the permission of the copyright holder for which a charge of between £10 and £25 is usually made.

With this link there is a list of popular wedding songs if you click the lyrics rather than the listen button and look at the bottom of the words it will tell you if there is a charge or not.
a few for example:

Morning has broken Words: (copyright needed)
One More Step Along The World I Go (copyright needed)

If anyone finds a complete list of songs with or without copyright without having to click each song please add it and i will update this post

most churches have a CCLI license which allows them to reproduce copyright words for use within services - do talk to the minister about this ... otherwise on order of service sheets you could put "hymn number 123" and use the church hymn books!0

That's what I'd do - most churches will also have a board at the front where they put the hymn numbers for normal services, so you can always look at that or just list the hymn titles and have the priest/vicar say 'please turn to hymn number 294' or whatever at the appropriate time."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
I had forgot we discussed just putting hymn numbers down doh! The license sounds very interesting we are struggling to get our next meet with minister sorted as my fianc! lives up north currently. The minister mentioned order of service on the phone last week and i said money was tight and i had printed our own invites through my pc and he said about getting hymn books. We can discuss it at next meeting perhaps he will suggest using number of hymns rather than printing words
