Homemade soups?
Im looking for some cheap filling simple soup recipes
Ive never tried lentils and dont like barley etc ... just nice veggies etc
any recipes of points in the right direction would be great thankyou

there is one but I don't know how to do links so here is my recipe.
after using a roast chicken (save a little for soup though!)
put all the skin and bones in a pan of boiling water
boil for 2hours
drain water into a pan "chicken stock" (give skin etc to dogs if you have them)
add to pan of "chicken stock"
peeled and chopped carrots/parsnips/leeks/turnip/onions/and crushed garlic
boil for 1-2 hours (after 1 hour add chicken pieces and if you want some bacon pieces)
add salt and pepper to taste.
you can either eat like this or blendofficial dfw nerd club member no 214

Hi piratess,
There are quite a few threads on homemade soup which we are in the process of merging together. The one with most recipes on it at the moment is: Soup..winter is coming!
