  • Morning all,

It's my daughters 7th birthday today and i'm having a party for her this afternoon.

I tried to be organized last night and took a huge bag of chicken drumsticks out the freezer to defrost over night in the fridge.....

Problem is i have just realized i threw out the bag with the cooking instructions on the back  .

Sods law, the bin has been emptied this morning, and after running outside in my dressing gown i saw that the instructions had gone for ever :rotfl: .

Can someone please help, how long should they be cooked and at what temp? with anything else i'd just throw it in the oven and hope for the best but i really dont want to be responsible for giving 15 school children food poisioning!

I had thought about going to tesco and reading the instructions off of another pack but i have 101 other things to do.

    Help please :D

    Leigh xx

  • pre-heat your oven to about 200 degree C or gas mark 6 season the drumsticks with salt and pepper and sprinkle a little olive oil over them. put them in the tray and cook them for 20 minutes, then open the oven and cover them with aluminum foil and cook for a further 10 minutes. The flesh should be peeling away from the ankle end of the bone a little HTH ;)

btw happy party x I have one too on sat for my daughters ninth :T
  • Or pour BBQ sauce over them abnd bake them as above.
  • Chicken needs to reach 77 deg C to be "safe" but if you do not have a probe then make sure the juices run clear from the biggest leg when poked with a sharp stick you should be fine.
  • Thank you all for your help, they are in the oven as i type so hopefully all will be well, i just have to get on with the 101 other things now :0)
