What's a Leap-pad when it's at home?

Leap-pads are a children's interactive learning system designed to help your kid learn to read. Using special "books" kids can read and spell out words on the page.

So what's the deal?

Leap-pad books can cost upwards of £10. Yet currently TK Maxx has stocks of these at £3.99. Stock is available nationwide but TK Maxx can't say how many each store has. While some are available in the chidren's toys section it's best to look near the tills where there's often a larger range on display.

Be careful, though. Systems come in different age ranges and not all books are compatible with all systems so make sure your store has the correct books for your kid's system before buying.

Where can I find my nearest TK Maxx?

If you don't know what or where your nearest TK Maxx is use the website's store locator to find it.

Of course if you find cheaper click reply and let me know and we'll update this top post.

Hi pipjes did you see whether they have many in the Eastleigh one? Is it worth a trip?
  • Thanks Martin, picked up 4 different my first leappad titles from my local
  • At the weekend I picked up 'The Lion King' for £3.75 and 'Leap Friends from A to Z' for £2.25 at Woolworths in Christchurch. They didn't have many left, but it might be worth checking out your local Woolies just in case.

I also got the pink Leappad starter system from here, complete with backpack and 3 books for £26.97. They had some blue ones left when I was in there.

They also had the blue 'And Writing' system complete with backpack, headphones and 2 games reduced to £33. Would have got one only they didn't have any in pink! Tried to persuade DD that blue is also for girls, to no avail!! This seems to be an instore promo as they are £48 online.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks for this, I just received a money off voucher for £3 this morning for Leap Pad products (I'm on their mailing list). I'll have to take a trip to my local TK Maxx to see what there is available. :-)

I had to get another lightpen for the Leap Pad my little boy has a while ago. So I take it I've ended up on their mailing list due to that.

I put in Leap Pad.com and it came up with the main site and then went on International and then the UK site. Here is the link...
