Cheap Wedding Venue in Essex

Hi everyone... normally post on the DFW and OS boards but am branching out...:D

We are getting married in 2012 and have started looking at wedding venues (with hopefully a Civil Marriage licence) which has inclusive packages for under £2000 - preferably much lower than that though. I've scoured the internet and haven't come up with anything apart from where my partners best friend is getting married in april this year (damn it for telling his OH about it a few months ago!).

I'd prefer somewhere really pretty - like a barn or something as unusual but I'm finding the same old places for whoa! money and it's just not within budget.

Does anyone have any idea's?

Are you looking at any specific part of Essex or literally anywhere in the county?
  • Rahven, I'd like to stay as close to home as possible (home being Romford) but we could go anywhere in the county - was just thinking of guests getting home in the evening!

Not sure what the prices are like, but I know that http://www.menzies-hotels.co.uk/hotels/london-hotels/prince-regent-hotel do wedding packages. A friend went to a wedding there last year and said it was wonderful.

  • Hi I have a website with an A to Z of every wedding venue in Essex with contact numbers too. I've made it to help couples find a great place for their party.

Once you have your venue and various wedding services booked, you can phone around and ask them for an additional discount. This can save you a few extra pounds if they agree!
If you need a quote for a DJ feel free to contact me, or for any advice on any aspect, as i've been to a few weddings!
Kind regards, hope all goes well for you!
