where is the cheapest place to get helium either to hire or buy, looked in the usual places , ebay and party websites but ideally need cheaper

Costco sometimes sell the canisters with 50 balloons for quite a lot less than on the high street, not sure but I think we paid £15-£20 for them.

Also British Oxygen do good prices, but not sure how many balloons you need it for. We used them for our sons wedding balloons

If you have a local Suba Dive centre you should try there. Thats where I got ours for our wedding. We hired the tank and returned it next day, wasn't expensive either only about £10.

most supermarkets sell a helium balloon kit in a box - Asda usually have it for about £20

Hobby Craft sell small canisters, I saw them yesterday.

Costco have the helium and 39 balloons for £27 and asda had the helium and i think 30 balloons for £20. The asda ones were long balloons and the normal round ones and the costco one were 30 normal balloons, 5 balloons with a pattern on and 3 large star balloons with writing one. I hope i am remembering this correctly.

one thing to note though, is unless you buy helium quality balloons they dont stay inflated long - even the ones that come in the kits say 2-5hrs

if you want them to stay up longer than that, then you either need foil balloons, or some decent latex ones
