old debts - CCJ likelihood

what is the realistic 'likelihood' of a debt for £4,000 being taken to court for a CCJ after 5 1/2 years? (i know about the statute barred laws). the collection agency has been writing to me for a while again, but i have not repled and i have not acknowledged the debt or made any payments. also how do i find a default date, ..does this matter if i have made a payment after it and forgotten about it? and what does 'Date Last Delinquent' mean on my credit report? many thanks for any help
