Hi, after abit of advise or experience really. Me and my partner are first time buyers and we've found a house which we agreed a price on.
We're only working with a 10% deposit and the house is £205k.
My mortgage broker has just tried to get a AIP with Natwest who have refused on the basis that my partner had a store card with missed payments on due to a problem with there system, the outstanding amount was less then £5 and the account was settled in 03/2008.
I've been advised that we can appeal this decision and have to wait till friday to hear back from him. How do they go about putting in an appeal and is this a common problem with mortgage applications.
I know we're pushing the amount we can borrow and with only 10% deposit are chances were already slim but up until now everyones been saying it'll be fine.
