Help on DMP trying to get a Morgage

I'm currently on a DMP (Debt Management Plan) but trying to get a small Morgage for a part rent part but property but with no joy.
I am a first time buyer in need of Advice as i am curently not getting very far.

Any help would be gratefully received.

  • If I recall correctly, you cannot take on extra credit obligations whilst in a DMP - your other creditors would tear up the DMP and expect to get their share of the spare cash you appear to have that makes the intended purchase possible...

    Its something I said on another thread some time back. The person didnt seem to be taking the whole house purchase process seriously. So, I fired off that comment. The comment made some people laugh and I guess that is why cloudcuckooland has it in the sig. You would be surprised how many people go through a house purchase and mortgage blind and disinterested and will spend more time deciding which Apple product they want to be seen with next.

    You can spot signatures as there is a grey line where the post end and anything below it is a signature. One line indicates no signature - two lines indicates a signature.
