Selling a Wedding Dress?

Hi All,
My Wife has decided that she'd like to sell her wedding dress to raise some much needed funds after we had our wedding on the 2/10/10.
The Dress is a Maggie Sottero Adelaide Size 12/14 in Diamond White.
I'm just trying to do some research... is it worth selling? what sites do people look on to buy wedding dresses?
I'm au fait with ebay so listing on there would be ok for me, but just wondered what other "haunts" people looked at!
Any help would be truly appreciated!
Thanks!

I got married the same date as you and sold my dress on Sunday on Ebay, and actually made £2 more than what I paid for it!
eBay is your widest audience so it really would be worth listing on there, but why not try 'hitched' and 'youandyourwedding' as they both have for sale boards on their forums.
I waited until free listing day, so why not wait for the next one of those and list it. That way if it doesn't sell, you haven't lost anything.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Thanks!
I may go for the eBay option unless any other ideas out there!Cheers Petchy0 -

You could list on preloved as well0

Another option is Etsy? Sometimes it's a bit 'crafty' or vintage on there, but no reason why not!
If at first you don't succeed, then sky-diving isn't for you0 -
Thanks,
Will probably get something listed this weekend!

Jojo2004, Etsy is only for handmade or vintage items, so you can't list second hand things unless they're vintage.much work to be done - new sig coming soon...0

Someone's already suggested Preloved & other Weddding forums, but how about gum tree.
Also, what words have you used for the listing heading? And what price have you listed it at?0 -
How much were you asking for it on eBay?
Does it need cleaning? Did you have clear pics of the dress with yor wife wearing it and close ups of detail?
Did you have collection only or were you willing to post it?
We could give you a hand with the listing if you want? Maybe post the unsold link so we can have a look?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
