With reference to the credit card; don't think about it as getting 'another' card; but a replacement card for the one you already have with the HUGE interest rate. You get a 0% card and transfer your cc debt to this new card and then all of what you pay every month goes off what you owe and you won't be paying such high interest. As soon as you've transferred this to new card you close the old account. This will save you hundreds in interest

You told him as soon as you knew. As peed off as he probably is about the money situation because it isn't what he was hoping, he is probably a lot more pleased that you have been so open. So it's probably, on balance, done you a favour in his eyes.
If you tell him about a little bit of debt before you are married at the first opportunity, he surely knows you won't keep anything from him when you are married.0
