maxwell house coffee 200g jar £2-59 i think, buy one get one free
hob nobs 49p a pack (yummy)
in a couple of weeks they are doing a buy one get one free on potatoes, normally 5kg for £1.49.

  • They have quite a range of flower and veggie seeds for 19p plus their grow bags are dirt cheap:rolleyes: They are as good or better than you get anywhere else. i see people with trolley fulls of them!
They often have fruit and veg bogof last week i got loads of oranges on bogof and they are really nice.
  • Thanks for the mention of the Netto seeds!!!!! I wanted to know when they came in.

Last year I bought them and had stacks of organically grown veggies - wow they were gorgeous and easy to grow - with the help of one of those mini greenhouse jobbies ( from Netto - I think it was £6!!!) I still have loads of the seeds left for this year, but you just cannot go wrong for 19p.

May I suggest you go for the tomato plants (I had tons of them, cherry and Normal!!) The courgette was also a surefire winner for me - but then I grew them on our old muck heap where I keep my horse!! Nice!!! Peas were easy as well!

Check out the fruit bushes as well - I think they were either 99p or 1.99 but they were excellent as well! I made a hedge from the black and red currants - a practical but tasty alternative to boring old ornamental planting in your garden!!

Call me a right saddo but Netto is the business when it comes to very cheap seeds and grow your own grub exquipmnent!!!

You really dont have to be Alan Titchmarsh to get into this and you could easily do the tomato's on a balcony or a small patio. Who knows it might even be the catalyst to a new and healthy hobby - the fitness benefits to getting out in the garden are seriously good - no need for the costly and pretentious Gym!!!

If you dont have a garden - check out your local council allotments - they are great because there's always someone on an allotment who will able to give freindly advise!

So from cheap seeds comes a whole new moneysaving world! Organic grub for 19p and a bit of physical effort and no need to suffer a trip to Asda on a Saturday!!! I know where I prefer to be!!!

    Respect to money saving Massive!!

I think on Thursday they also have chicken thighs on offer for 99p (1kg which looks like 3 thighs) and condensed soup for 25p. Put those together and you get a cheap and tasty meal.

not the only things that are going for a bargain in nettos... mother in law got her handbag snatched last week so to all be careful... she had it in a trolley that you pull abt on two wheels and it was zipped up so they not only going for the obvious things they trying there luck as well... so to all be careful and they tried to use her cards within 20 mins of it going missing but luckily the manager of the store was on the ball and had her ring up her banks from his office so they got nothing else
