I left rpoints since i have discovered quidco late last year. They banned people for mentioning quidco, they cant compete and have the HCP rubbish.

Why has no-one mentioned the £5/year quidco fee? I'm with rpoints but also have joined quidco. I don't use either very much but due to the quidco fee I'm reluctant to use them. Seems to me quidco are a better bet for people who know they will be buying a fair bit thru online shops where these discounts are available.

Funny enought I made enough cash back to cover the fee, and since then I have not had anything tracked despite filing for missing claims (nothing has happened to the claims, for months...). I doubt very much the success rate for the different providers is correct - I've got over 60% not tracked for one of the shops.

I would be tempted to recomment RPoints, even though I havent used them.

I find rpoints too confusing to use so I stick to quidco

Just have a look at the rates on the really BIG cashbacks, like insurance etc. Quidco's rates are embarrassingly better, really.

    Examples:

    Barclays Home/Car Insurance - Quidco £125 rpoints £65!
    Prudential Home/Car Insurance - Quidco £100 rpoints £40!
LloydsTSB Car Insurance - Quidco £120 rpoints £70!
    Zurich Car/Home Insurance - Quidco £80 rpoints £30!

    etc etc....
I agree. Quidco charge the first £5 cashback per year, but pay 100% of the cashback above that. Rpoints does not make an annual charge, but takes half of ALL the cashback. Anyone who earns more than £10 cashback within a year would be better off with Quidco.

The Rpoints HCP scheme is a just an attempt to combat the superior cashback of other sites like Quidco. Many people have asked why Rpoints keeps HCP so secret, rather than publicise the scheme widely, such as on the home page and in the cashback claim pages. Instead Rpoints hide the HCP details on one of the FAQ pages.

Assuming that people manage to find out about the Rpoints HCP scheme, they then have the hassle of finding out whether a particular cashback meets the terms and conditions of the HCP scheme. (HCP does not apply to all types of cashback, and has to be claimed within a certain time, with evidence, etc) They then have the aggravation of making the claim and waiting for a response from Rpoints to see whether the claim is successful or not.

People should not need to go to the trouble of making a special claim and jump through the hoops of the Rpoints HCP terms and conditions just to get the full cashback that is available automatically elsewhere. Quidco tracks purchases and shows the cashback within hours.

Plus Rpoints deduct £5 from your HCP claim as the cost of Quidco annual fee.

I was really pleased to find the rpoints site and on the basis that Lloyds TSB were offering 6000 rpoints (or £60) I arranged my husband's car insurance through them in August. Although they were more expensive than other quotes, when taking the £60 into account they were cheaper.

Now I see on here that Quidco is offering £120 on Lloyds TSB motor insurance!!!

Is it right that rpoints take a chunk of the discount given by Lloyds TSB? I wonder what the Quidco offer was in August!!!

I shouldn't complain really because I got the £60, but when compared to £120 WOW!!!
