We have been looking around for a 'realistic' toy puppy for our six-year-old and liked the 'My Playful Pup' - £50 in both Woolworths and Argos - but I found this today in ToysRus for just £20. According to the Woolworths Big Red Book, it obeys 20 phrases which appears to be one of the best around and for this price it's an absolute winner - plus they are gorgeous!

I don't recommend the Nintendogs puppies. I paid £9.99 for one for my daughter and it does nothing. All it has is a magnetic bone and mouth and that's what makes it do tricks. It is basically a stuffed toy and wouldn't say it is interactive, a waste of money.0

oh cheers one more off the list:beer:0

I got the one from home bargains for £15.99 and to me it looks like the same one you get from toysrus for £20. They had white and brown ones.0

I checked out the Nintendogs too and they didn't appear to do much. I think they are just cashing in on the popularity of the game.
BTW - ToysRus in Coventry had the Golden Retriever, the Dalmation and the fluffy white version of the Playful Pup but I don't think all are included on their website (or are not showing at the £20 I paid). Hope this helps.0 -
