Thanks, in our Wilkinsons they had home stuff which got reduced to 50% off (fleece blankets etc) theyve had a stack of these fleeces since the start of the sale and ive been waiting and waiting to see if they go down to 75% off,

do you have any idea if this kind of stuff will be discounted any more.

Finally, does anyone think there will be ANYTHING left on Saturday morning, I can go tomorrow by bus but seems a bit silly when I will probably end up spending less than bus fayre! Wereas on saturday we will be visiting anyway in the car!

usually discontinued lines go 25% then 50% then 75%. Thursdays are the usual days when these go live but couldnt really tell you what n when.

  • bindiboo, youre like the queen.
  • so i went in this morning to the mancheser arndale store. im sure there were other mse'ers skulking about. i could smell them.

but there wasnt much in there, just some awful tinsel and threadbare stockings which were all reduced to 10 pence.

its my birthday this weekend and i was really looking forward to draping the entire house with fairy lights. its not to be, alas.

I spoke to a manager this afternoon about the 10p sale as my local wilkinsons had very little other than xmas wrap, tinsel and bows on display. He told me that the higher value stock had been returned to central distribution.......but on searching out a not-so local store they had all the good stuff still on display........so you pays your 10p and takes your chance,be lucky.
All the good stuff has been taken off sale, just leaving wrap, cards, tinsel, and odds and sods, seems the manager i spoke to was correct, all the high value stuff has been returned to central distribution
    Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!

  • Liverpool St John's Precinct, had lots of wrapping paper and ribbons this afternoon all at 10p. A few toys at 75% off, but mostly for very young children.
    Staff were very helpful indeed.

The Bristol branch has hundreds of rolls and packets of paper for 10p. Also gift bags and bows. Some of the paper is plain gold so great for birthdays as well.
