Finance on a computer(after 2 years)

alright heres the story 2 years ago i purchased a computer off mesh computers delivery was quick to come set it all up and all that and there was a letter explaining they was out of stock on the game that was meant to come with and it said it would be delivered in a few days thought nothing of it two weeks later it wouldn't start up so i phoned up to arrange someone to come out and fix it first time no one turned up phoned up again someone finely comes out a month later takes a quick look and says don't know what's wrong with it we will have to rearrange because i got no bits in the van (comes all the way from Scotland with a empty van) another month later another guy comes out messes with it for 5 minutes one memory slots was faulty but he has none in his van once again please wait we will send you the replacement

made a payments on it for a year and suddenly i lost my job and was getting charged for missing payments which was sending me red in the bank aswell as adding to the computer payment finally got my bank sorted out and get put down a card with no overdraft since then i been getting letters and letter asking for payment but because of all the debt i have been hiding and not been opening the nasty red strip letters now its over 3 times more than it should be and i really really need some advice what to do i don't know what to do to get around it because i been paying for something that am not really happy with because am missing bits:mad:

  • It's not the loan companies fault so you should continue to pay for it. You will have to take it up with Mesh. Since it was two years ago I don't think you have a leg to stand on really.

Mr Henry is correct technically the Original Poster purchased 2 things
    1. The Loan
    2. The PC.

The fact that the PC does not work has no bearing on the Loan.
If mesh do not fulfill their part of the deal it should affect the loan co.

As far as the loan company is concerned the original poster has not fulfilled his obligations. Should have taken out PPI on the original loan.

Although your post and this post bring nothing of use to the discussion, I 110% agree with you, Mesh in my experience is an awful company to buy a PC from. :money:

I'll add another vote to that my MESH computer was awful and died not long after the warranty ran out. Dead mother board diagnosed as the cause of death.

My Toshiba purchased from Amazon is far superior.

Cheapest of the cheap components, mimimum wage monkeys screwing them together, cruddy non standard builds and they move at the speed of the average barnacle.

Nasty stuff and the thought of owing money on one gives me the creeps.

Mine died, before windows xp even loaded up and took best part of 2 weeks to send engineer. Engineer said the state of the inside of the PC was so bad that he wasn't surprised it failed on boot up. He spent a while putting components back in place and re-wiring.

Several other problems during it's 2 year life, until it died and I just wanted to smash it too bit. Not impressed after spening just over £1700 on it.

Had PC's from PC World, Time, Chillblast and Alienware all infinately better in several way.
