This forum i believe is to advise and help people who are sometimes in a difficult spot and not to be Judge, Jury and executioner.

You don't need to be Judge, Jury or executioner to know that the OP has committed an infringement of contract law.

P.S. The only party that was 'mis-sold' anything in this case was the lender of the money.

Suggest the OP grows up and stops blaming others for his/her downfall, they come across as being absolutely pathetic.

Presumably the lender used the information used the information available at the time to decide whether or not to lend to you and on what terms - they chose to take a risk and lend to you (presumably at an appropriate level of interest), you understood the consequences of a seured loan and choose to accept their terms and conditions.
On what grounds do you feel it has been mis-sold? Their attititude to risk/business model is not really your problem in my opinion- they offered the money, you took it.

Blimey, you're all a bit harsh. Certainly the OP and the broker were both party to what looks like fraud, but there's no need to rub it in. You can't blame the OP for clutching at straws. I don't think we'll hear from him again.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Maybe if the OP didn't commit the fraud in the first place then they would have a firm grasp of the straws?

There is a reason that nobody would lend OP the money if the OP correctly informed the lender of what it was for. Now the OP understands why they couldn't get the money legitimately.

I have no empathy. The money was borrowed by a defrauded lender to fuel greed.

...........The broker completed the paperwork for me and under 'purpose of loan' they put down 'house extension' which he said would be fine.......

Do you have anything in writing from you to your broker, exactly stating the true purpose for the loan? If not, as he's already shown himself to be no close friend of the truth, he will probably just say that you told him it was for an extension. After all, you signed the paperwork.
