Had a call from Scottish Power.
"I have some good news for you - you entered a competition for £3000 of John Lewis vouchers"
"Yes" (in that split second, all the things I could do with £3000 flew through my mind)
"Well I am ringing to tell you that ... if you switch to Scottish Power, you are likely to save money... and even if you don't you will still be entered into the competition..."

The annoying thing is that I am already a customer of Scottish Power !

Yes Eon did the same thing to me too at the end of last year. They are persistent so and so's and kept ringing to try and get me to change to them.'Now sir you tell me the world's changed

They did it to me before xmas too! Know how you must have felt, I got one like that re a comp for a laptop - had only started comping and thought I had won ....until the sales pitch came in :mad:
I now avoid any comps run in association with power companies
