Hey there honeybun, hope you are ok I'm keeping you in my thoughts. Bailiffs can't take anything belonging to the children, have to leave your beds/bedding/cooker/fridge/food anything pet related.

Sometimes it's ok to have a cry - ask the children for a group hug and tell them that sometimes even adults find it tough. I bet you anything they'll say "I love you mummy", and that's priceless.

When I had to stretch every penny to the max, I sat down with my children (who were 8 and 10 at the time) and said OK we can't always eat whatever we fancy so we have to invent new meals out of what we have. They had some brilliant ideas and it was amazing how they rarely said "I don't like that" when the alternative was nothing :). Get them involved in turning off appliances etc too.

    Good luck
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
