Has anyone had any recent experience of piecework ?
my overall impression of this is that you get very little for doing tedious "envelope stuffing/addressing"

indeed it does get a bit tedious that is because you are paid by the amount of work you do which mean that to get more money you have to do more work.Yung

My limited knowledge of mass-mailings is that large commercial organisations usually have envelope-stuffing machines and smaller/poorer/non-profit orgs usually hire temps for a day or two. Most small ads for this kind of piece work are scams.

Hello NozzerMac ,please be careful of this so called piecework if you are responding to a newspaper ad or such like firstly find out if its a bona fide company, also do not send any money "up front" plus they have to pay you the minumum wage even at home.
Sorry if its a bit harsh but dont want you to get scammed old chap
