I find it best to keep potatoes in a dark cupboard. They turn green if they are left in the light and storing them in the fridge turn the starch into sugar so they can become too sweet.0

got lots of express Tesco round here but don't think they
would stock them

Morrison's had a 10kg bag the other day, for £2.97. They are selected seconds apparently, look like normal potatoes to me!

Morrisons also do a 12.5kg bag for £3.50 unwashed.
