They are not Evaders, the system is set up to allow the super rich to not pay Tax. Simple1984ReturnsForReal wrote: »http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12205690
How interesting.
This should stir things up a little on the "we are all in it together" front.......As an investor, you know that any kind of investment opportunity has its risks, and investing in Stocks or Precious Metals is highly speculative. All of the content I post is for informational purposes only.0 -
A non-declared offshore account is tax evasion and the fines are huge. The tax is back dated and multiplied by up to 2.

Evading or avoiding - its wrong to do either. Think the difference lies in one being illegal and the other just being immoral.0 -

You know what? I'm fed up of paying tax ATM for paying for other things I happen to think are immoral.
I we could legally avoid some I don't think I'd feel too immoral ATM. I could plant trees or buy books for my library or save the whales with it.0 -

I don't have a problem with tax avoidance, its evasion that's the issue. The problem with avoidance is that it has a bad image yet a lot of us do it without realising. Putting money in an ISA is avoiding paying tax on it. Paying some dividends out of a business rather than a salary thus reducing tax take is another. I don't have a problem with anything like that. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

You could donate to a charity and write off the tax if that is what you mean? http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/giving/basics.htm0 -

well yes technically it is, except people dont go to extraordinary lengths to hide the fact they have an ISA. you cant take a saving package like an ISA and put it next to and undeclared swiss bank account (for example) and say its pretty much the same!
Honestly if i had that kind of money where i could pay someone to sniff out tax loopholes i probably would but what will get my back up is if it turns out that the people who are in power, who spout about "doing your share, blah blah blah" are the ones who are doing all the dodging...suppose we will see0
