wana get a job stuffing or nuts and bolts ..

weird one ....

I used to have friends who used to do various things from home to make a little extra money ... like stuffing envelopes or doing things to little nuts and a bolts. Hard work but pulled in a little extra cash. Does anyone know where these types of things you can do at home are available?

Friends of my mum used to stuff envelopes. It wasnt wortht the time it took they got £6 for 1000 envelopes, it took ages and some times they had loads sometimes not none but what ever was delivered had to be done in the week or penalties were charged.

    Hello lawtz04

Your thread will be better placed in the 'Benefits, Tax Credits & Jobseeking' board, so I'll move it across for you.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

I was looking around for ages for that sort of thing, I remember my mum used to put tiny electrical boards together and get 50p per item or something like that, but it seems that work isn't available anymore, from what I found out it all gets sent away somewhere where people will do 100 for 50p?!? I've ended up doing Bodyshop parties because it fits around my husband so I don't have to leave the children with anyone else, but of course this work means leaving the house on cold winter evenings! And at start up fee, I'm getting quite good money from it though but it's obviously not suited to everyone. Good luck with your search though, if you're a better Googler than me you may have more luck!

Delivering the free papers is the nearest I've seen to this in recent years. Loads of leaflets to stuff, then out delivering them in all weathers: not a good rate of return!

My mother used to type - with carbon copies! - from home: you know those 'reply cards' you get in some magazines (like Readers Digest) to get blurb from lots of different advertisers? She typed the referral letters to the advertisers. But that was back in the dark ages, when an electric typewriter was the height of a secretary's aspirations! :rotfl:
