Is it ok to wear second hand pierced earrings?

Thanks for all your help, problem now solved. Just went to my local ethnic jewelery shop and the guy replaced the old earring hooks with new solid silver ones, polished up the earrings with a cloth (no chemicals) and put them into a little bag so wouldn't get lost. Charged me £1.50 which I think is fair, and cheaper than if I bought a bag of silver plated posts that I didn't need as my ears aren't pierced and I'm not very artistic. They look brand new and only paid £5 for them with a torque style necklace (the necklace alone would have cost at least £25).
Also bought a set of two 5kg hand weights from scope for £3.50, which is my favorite weight. It'll be perfect as we need another set of weights for the circuit training class I go to (non-profit run by a group of us). Almost killed me carrying them home.
I never find what I'm looking for in charity shops but I always seem to come back with something that I need. I should go in looking for something that I don't want then I'll find the thing I'm really after;)0 -
use tcp or such like, soak them it that, it was what I was told to bath my ears in when pierced. Changing posts is better though.
