How can I get well by tomorrow ?

Hi I have some sort of bug. High temperature, hacking cough and lethergy. I have just driven the children to school so I am pretty sure it's not the flu. My very elderly parents have hospital appointments tomorrow and I usually take them. They will not manage on their own. I'm pretty sure that I could manage to take them but I am really concerned that I will pass my infection onto them. What can I do to get well by tomorrow?

You can do nothing to stop you having a virus. However, you can take a big pile of pills to relieve you of the symptoms.
Go to the pharmacy and ask.. you'll need pain killers and decongestants. Caffeine will help too.0 -
Our hospital has a collection service for patients not able to get there by themselves, maybe see if yours does, or ask another family member or friend to take them.
Doesn't sound like you will be better by tomorrow, and do you want to risk passing any of what your feeling on to your elderly parents?
get yourself a face mask, and surgical gloves so you don't touch and breath on them if you really must take them yourself.

You can't take your parents to the hospital tomorrow. You not only risk infecting them but other vulnerable people in the hospital as well. I really think you need to make some other arrangements.
BTW I had something similar in November. It started as you describe and became a flu. Luckily on the first day I realised how sick I was going to be (I knew who I'd got it from!) so was able to get out and get supplies in etc (using a lot of hand gel to make sure I didn't pass it on!). See how you feel for the rest of the day but it could be more serious than you realise. It sounds like what i had except I would have said exhaustion rather than lethargy!0 -
I'm not recommending that you take this but when I have to do something and I feel how you described Day Nurse (the liquid one not the tablets) gets me through and I often feel much better the next day after a dose of Night Nurse (again the liquid) as it gives me a good nights sleep, also for me only the branded version not the own brand ones work - good luck hope you feel better soon:grouphug:Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
