Buy to Let Mortgage Without UK Salary?

I work in the middle east, my wife does not work but resides in the UK. We have the opportunity of buying a flat and can put down about 30 to 40% of the valuation price. So we would be looking at around 60% LTV. So we are looking to see if any banks etc would lend us the money purely on rental income rather than a UK income.

Have tried Santander/Alliance and Leicester and no joy with them. We would need a UK salary

This would be a specialist area and would need a good broker who has dealt with these types of transactions previously.

The deposit you have and the LTV you are looking at will mean options available.

However, it will then depend on meeting the other criteria i.e. minimum personal income, country you are in etc, who you work for etc.

Lots of areas you can trip up on, so best bet is to get professional help.
