Question about a Natwest loan

Hi

A friend of mine applied for a Natwest loan today (Sunday). She is already an online banking customer and it advertises funds to be available the next working day.

She says she has been accepted which I'm assuming means in principle ie passed the credit check?

It did say that they would send her documents out for her to sign and return. Does anyone know if this is the case as she is signed up to online banking she was under the impression it is done electronically. (The FAQs on the website are a little unclear on this).

She is also a little worried as her job wage don't go into her account, she pays this in manually every two weeks, she also has another income that does go into her account every month which she is allowed to count towards income. Will they require more info about this for example will they need to see wage slips or proof of employment even though they should be able to see her regular deposits every two weeks which she's been doing for years and her monthly payment that goes in.

Her credit rating is excellent and her account is well in credit. Sorry for long winded post, I thinks she just wants a timescale of what's going to happen from here? Thanks to anyone taking time to reply.

    Hi there,

It is done electronically in some cases. If it is, the agreements are emailed. If the applicaton requires further verfication, then it will send documents by post. I would suggest she checks her email, if not call them tommorrow and ask to go through to the paperless loans team. I believe they can resend the agreements if required.
    Best Regards

    Hi

Thanks for that. She did say it took her straight to a page saying docs will be sent to sign but according to FAQs she should have had a pop up screen offering her the option of signing online.

Best thing to do then OP, call them tommorow, and they can send the CCAs by email/SMS to her. Call 0845 604 1 604, choose option 2 and then ask to speak with paperless. They will sort it for you.
    Best Regards
