Hi there,
I'm starting a new agreement on a new car with Santander Consumer Finance, I've been told there is a £149 initial fee on top of my first payment..? I'm not sure this is normal...
Has anyone else had this and confirm its right? Seems a bit steep!!?

sounds bout the same as what i had(although initially GE Money) also and end of agreement fee of around the same, check out your agreement.
by the way santander are really worth the watching, they will leave their DD and collect 2 or 3 payments in one go, they done this several times with me, not really an issue but if you don't have the correct funds in they WILL hit you with a charge.0 -

Thanks, I was worried the garage were having me on, but it seems normal.
I'm with Santander currently on my old car finance, settled for the new one, and I haven't had any issues with their payments being taken late..
Do you mean they won't collect one month and then collect 2 the next month..? I'm sure that breaches the direct debit arrangement and car finance agreement! No longer lost in debt!0
