The link below says they do! You could try phoning them, as they would know when and where they were held.

The link mentions Grampian Police Force, the OP was enquiring about Highland Police Force.
The usual procedure is for the police to hand everything over to an auction house to dispose of.
I would guess that for Highland region one of the larger auction houses in Inverness would be the place to try.0 -

There is NO such force as the Highland Police force. However apologies to cdam I forgot Northern Police Force cover a fair proportion of the Highlands. Unfortunatly their web site does not mention what they do with their unclaimed goods.0 -
call them this info is easy too find on google. And its carp now every one does there monthly shopping at the police auctions so the prices are pushed up.
It used to be really good ...you could pick up gold below scrap......easy money0 -
It may be Tayside, which deals with quite a lot of the areas leading to the ski resorts. Loves of Perth have a lost property auction and there were all sorts of quite amazing items, but many skis, snow boards, really good skiing outfits, as well as the usual jewellery, bikes, etc. It is quite an education to see what people leave behind and you sometimes wonder how they actually got them there!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14
