I keep getting messages saying I have pm's waiting for me but they are all foreign and spam. I just delete them but having two together today makes me ask if I need to report this to anyone please? Thanks.

    Just delete them and report them to abuse there a re far few foreign spammers on late testing this forum out you can tell as they post rubbish or just say "hi I am new here" always in same forum part

    Hello Lara

    As others have suggested, report them to abuse. Click on the button at the bottom right of the private message (Abuse/Report Post) and it will alert the Forum Team to the spammer.

    If you simply delete the private message(s) and you don't send a report, the Forum Team won't know about the problem and won't be able to put a stop the spammer.;)

    I've just got a spam private message too, my first. In the title it says 'I'm new to this.....what's up?!' and I'm a bit worried about opening it to read in case there's a virus as I remember there being a virus or hacker problem recently on here.

    Can anyone advise please?

    Mine was exactly the same title. I opened it, read it and reported it. Good thing I hadn't deleted it yet because I got a message back saying there was a problem with my link and I had to copy/paste the message to abuse.

    To my knowledge you can't get a virus just for looking at a PM or email. The trouble starts when you click any links contained in those PM's or emails. My PM contained a link but I didn't click on it.
