Went BR on 16th July so I'm half way down the line today! All been very quiet, only two communications from the OR since interview, to tell me thay have no interest in my car or my (pathetically small Equitable Life) pension fund.
I've said it before but I'd quite happily forego ED to avoid any more contact and peacefully sit out the next six months.
Mine was a fairly simple case primarily because we don't own a house, but I have to say it's the best decision I ever made. I still find things to worry about (impending DLA changes and how they'll impact my wife/us in particular) but life is so much simpler.
Thanks to all on here who have helped me, particularly in the early days, this is a great place and I'll certainly be hanging around to try to give back a little. Cheers:beer: (<<< Alcohol free lager

Well done, glad it is going ok for you. I never got ED but I also never had any contact with my OR after the 2nd month. Keep your head down and the next 6 months will fly by:):pB&SC No. 298

Glad everything is going well and I know what you mean about sitting it out without further contact! I did the full 12 months and it isn't so bad. Also know what you mean about changes to funds - my child benefit runs out for oldest in March and youngest in June and all my tax credits ended last year so in total that is about £800 per month I'm down and I also took a £1 per hour pay cut last year, the only thing saving us is the low interest rates, don't want to think about them going up! Still things find a way of sorting themselves out.

Hi MikeJO me too, six months in, my case was also simple [well apart from the amount] I have heard diddley squat since the phone interview - despite I have contacted them regarding payment of long awaited csa payments - then diddly again, I am just wishing away the next six months so I know where I am again - mind you I never knew in the first place..........so no difference there then.....roll on July for us............MCDeep doubts, deep wisdom, small doubts, little wisdom..............0

hi Mike,
really glad to hear its going well for you, as many have said, hang in there and the months will fly by. I am now in the file clean up phase of my post br stage, and its the long road to the point where all the defaults fall off the old credit file. I am sorting equifax and experian at the mo then will tackle the call credit one.
once you get over the bumps there is some pleasure in trying to put a bit by for christmas and the rainy day, thats what I am now trying to do, but we have to live first dont we.
keep us all informed
