Hallmarking...takes many different forms and it can be quite complex...I am sure your ring is not a fake...if you google hallmarks and read up on it you will see that they take many forms ..and different countries have different marks..there are also different markings for the type and purity of the metal your ring is made from...

the 750 means that your ring is made from 18carat gold and would have a different number if it were made from 9 carat....
