  • ok thanks, my credit file is on 'fair' rating, it is saying that £0 credit available but we have had our mortgage for 4 and a half years with no missed payments, surely this would improve my credit, but experian isnt registered to them, will this mean i will never have any substantial amount of credit available, does that make sense???

The redit reference agencies do not lend the money so do not pay too much attention to what they say. As long as the data is correct then thats all you need to worry about.

Try Equifax online for a copy of your report. £2 for a statutory report.

Whether you could get credit depends on many things.

Are you looking to change your mortgage? If the new lender wanted to check payments on current they could ask for a reference from Mplc.

  • ok, i just thought that if my mortgage is on my record it would improve my credit rating, we are not looking to remortgage yet, but are looking to get a car on finance but its saying we have £0 credit available despite paying our mortgage every month i thought this would make some credit available, sorry if this isnt clear.
