Ecover Washing Powder - Cheap in Tesco!

Went into Tesco last night and they had lots of Ecover washing powder for only £1.25 - it is the 12 wash box - it was not in the laundry section it was in the 'seasonal / clearance' section. Not sure if it is Nationwide but there was so much on the shelf that I suspect it may be. I am in Northampton.
I have also posted on Green and Ethical as not everyone looks on Grabbit.

This never comes out very well in Which tests, probably because it contains no optical brightners. A much better one for a similar price, but not as green, is Lidl's Formil Biological at £6.49 for 60 washes.0

Will look out for it thanks

True. Ecover's green - but unfortunately it doesn't work, as Which prove time and time again.
Lidl Formil outperforms pretty well all the brands at a fraction of the price. The wife was very reluctant to switch to it, but now she won't use any other.0 -
How eco friendly is the Lidl one?? I rarely go in there so hadn't seen it. Oh and just realised it's biological, I only use non-bio..
Though I have been using Ecover for years now and tbh my washing doesn't get that dirty and I've used the stain remover occasionally which works well, so it suits me all round anyway.
Is this 12 pack the old style cube/rectangular box, rather than the new box? and is it in all Tescos?0 -

it is the old box - which leads me to believe that it is possibly nationwide. there were 3 shelves full in Northampton Tesco. they had non-bio, bio and tablets but the tablets were only 10 wash. the non-bio was £1.24 for some reason!it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0 -

I would love to get hold of some of this for that price!
Morrisons have had the new style box reduced down to 2.39 this week and I thought that was good!0 -
In asda its possible to get this 10% cheaper than the tesco promo price, (so long as you are selective what other items you buy at the same time) - have a look at the asda 10% thread here
