Documentation advice

Hi I am currently applying for a mortgage but cannot find 2 of the last 3 months wage slips for my OH and I (we work at the same place so unfortunatly they are together). Is there a way to get round this or can I get other copies? We have only just realised and as we are pushing for a quick sale are panicking. Our current house is half way through being packed up and the paperwork just hasnt had time to be sorted. It could be in all sorts of boxes!

Any advice anyone?

  • Can you get a letter from person that does the wages and back it up with bank statements ?

You could ask your HR dept for another copy of the payslips.

Whether it is an actual requirement will depend on which lender you are using and the strength of your case etc.

Some lenders are rigid about having the latest 3 payslips along with the lastp60 or else they will write to the employer for a reference. Another lender may be happy with simply the last payslip and a couple of bank statements.

Your best bet is to call your prospective lnder first thing and ask them. They are the only ones who will actually know as it will depend on the specifics of your case as to what will be required.
