I need a unsecured loan but have defaults from 5 years ago ?

I would like to borrow £10000 to consilidate some debts,but I still have defaults on my credit record from 5 years ago.I understand they will be removed after 6 years,but need a loan now as repayments on my credit cards are getting too high.
Does anyone know who I can go to for loan please?

If you already have £10k of debt, you will need a pretty good salary to be considered for another £10k loan.

Also sounds like you haven't addressed the base issue of spending more than you earn. I don't think a consolidation loan is right for you. Would suggest yoi look for help from the likes of CCCS and maybe consider a DMP.

In the current economic climate, nobody will lend to someone who they can so easily see hasn't learnt from their past experience and is likely to fall into the same kind of debt problem.
