i find it works well, each client gets a nice "hope your happy with everything" letter and a form that lists what they should have - TOB, Key FActs, letter, policy docs for new plan XYZ, etc
they sign and return it so every client file is closed with that....equally a client NOT acting gets similar to say they dont want to go ahead.
i have seen too many client complaints turn nasty when various parties (cleint and FA) start suggesting each got letters that they didnt and its almost impossible to prove eitherway.0 -
Well, me and dunstonh could clean up east anglia then!!!!
I always (and always have done) get my clients to sign every suitability report (mostly in advance, but not always), and to say that they have received a Key Facts Document, a Business Card and a Guide to the Cost of Our Services., and obviously the report itself..the Suitability report always states the fee (or commission) paid, including any renewals, so that no client could ever say "well, I was never told..."..sometimes, they also sign the fee agreement in advance as well..works well...I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA),but this site does not check my status as such, so you need to take my word for it.
