If you want something in writing just write something like:
I <name> am borrowing £xxx from <your name>, I will pay this back at a rate of xxx per month starting on date: xx/xx/2011

That's it really.
Or you could just trust your daughter and not treat her like a bank customer (unless she's proven untrust worthy in the past that is).Bank Loans: [STRIKE]£25000[/STRIKE] £0- Barclay Card 14%: [STRIKE]£2500[/STRIKE] £0- Student Loan: [STRIKE]£12,500[/STRIKE] £0

I'm guessing you mean some kind of paper record of amount lent and repayments, etc. No worries, just agree whatever you agree to, including payback dayes, etc., then write it in plain English on paper and both sign it. Decide in advance what the penalties/repercussions are if something goes wrong (you reclaim and sell her car/she puts you in her will/she owes you a bottle of gin with each delayed payment/you nag her every day/no supper for a week/whatever) as a contract/agreement should be written in peacetime before money gets involved, but plan for wartime when things go wrong. Just removes the ambiguity, and the last thing you want when it comes to loans/money is ambiguity, daughter or not. Families often fall out over money, I think you're doing the right thing trying to formalise it.0

Read the sticky about lending to families. The general rule is if you can't afford to give the money then don't lend it.0
