haggle in new look

I went to new look today and was buying a few sale bits (~their tatty teddy gifts are down to £1.50 / £2) I took a cardi with me to the till that was £12.99 reduced to £8.00 and i asked her to scan it just to check it hadn't gone down in price again. it hadn't so i ummed and ahhed and said nah i'll leave it, and she said well i'll knock a bit more off if you like, how about for £6? so i said yeah ok. - felt like i was at a boot sale!

My daughter (14) quite often does that in New Look and Select. She will just go to the till and ask them to let her have it cheaper. They tend to say yes more than no . I have never done it myself but we have taught her not to waste her money and that probably why she's richer than we are!!
