Hmmm.. given that the Wii Wheel is only a plastic frame for the Wiimote it's hardly necessary to have a genuine branded product. I got mine from the Pound shop.

I bought the black version (not wii branded but who really cares for something like this?) before christmas from amazon for £3.99 delivered. It was to go with the black one I got with the console and apart from the original wheel we already have having the wii logo on the front of it, it's exactly the same!

Posted this in the other thread but it doesn't appear to have much attention so I'm posting again.

Could someone advise me on which of these packages is of best value:

1) £179: Black Wii Console, Wii Sports, Wii Motion Plus Remote, Wii Nunchuck, Mario Kart with wheel.
2) £179: Black Wii console, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Remote with Wii Motion Plus and Nunchuk
2) £199: Black Wii Console, Wii Sports, Wii Motion Plus Remote, Wii Sports Resort, I'm a Celebrity, Countdown, Family Fortunes.

I'm not particularly bothered about the games, I'm just looking to purchase the console for fitness purposes and thought to sell the games I don't want on ebay. Any help will be appreciated! Thanks

personally, i wouldn't go with any of those offers.

if you want it for fitness then go for this: http://www.simplygames.com/info/18323/ it's got a 3rd party board, but it does exactly the same thing.

another is: http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.901-7060.aspx just dance 2 is pretty energetic. with clubcard and cashback, you can knock off £8 or so aswell.

Thanks for that, I've just discovered a 10% off code for VERY which will bring the £179 down to £161 and with the £50 credit from the virgin experience, it would be a bargain! Does that make the deal any better? I can always buy the Wii fit pack separately can't I? I'm just undecided as to whether I want Mario Kart or Sports resort now! :j

Just a final question: is it better to buy the black or white console? Having searched the forums, I've discovered it seems difficult to find certain black accessories? Is this true?

yes...the very offer will be better. board can be bought seperately anything between £40 (for 3rd party) and £70 for the official nintendo one.

black accessories are fairly easy to find. nintendo make their own official ones as do 3rd parties. the board can also be bought in black. i like the white one myself!
