Halfords Free Kids Helmet Offer in December

Did anyone else in the UK see an offer in Halfords in early-mid December, on the web site and instore, for a free helmet with any kids bike?

I was certain I had seen both and reserved a bikje fully expecting to have a free helmet only to be told there was never such an offer in store and it may have been a web only offer.

Yet on the website there is no trace of this offer ever having existed.

I have googled and found one other person mention this offer on another board but I wondered if anyone out there had purchased a bike and got a free helmet or if I have imagained the whole thing?

We bought DD a bike online from Halfords and the offer was a £10 voucher towards accessories instore if you bought a bike under £100 and £20 if it was over £100.

Don't recall free helmet offer as it was a helmet we bought with the voucher albeit a dearer one.

We were watching bike prices for a few weeks and I think I'd have remembered that as we knew it was a helmet we were getting as well.

Do you know when you bought it? I remember that offer aswell and I think that was on before the one I am thinking of. (It could be that I am confused and it is the same offer).

Hello, yes you're right - the free bike helmet was only on for a really short time and available online only.

I ordered online 12th of December and picked up both bike and free helmet in store on the 13th. The deal with the £10 voucher towards accessories was on prior to this as I had been watching the bike as Halfords prices seemed to change on a daily basis.

I was really lucky and got DS's bike (price dropped by a further £30) and helmet for a great price.

Hi, sorry I haven't been back online. We picked our bike up the first week in December so it must have been before your which is why I don't remember it.

Hi I ordered my daughters bike for collection on 23 December - sorry not sure exactly when I ordered but was online, definately some time in Mid December. I got the free helmet offer, you had to add it to yout baket at the time of ordering and if I remember correctly you could chose any childs helmet because we chose a Hello Kitty one which should have been £16.99.

Bit of a long short but do either of you ladies have a copy of your order confirmation email that shows the free helemt offer? Halfords HO are still denying that there was such an offer.

It's the princliple of the matter that is annoying me now!
