I just had to let other MSE members know about this! I read in Good Housekeeping that T cut can be used on shower screens to remove limescale. I live in a hard water area and have two showers . One of them has concertina- type doors which makes cleaning difficult.
Anyway I tried this out yesterday and all the supports have come out gleaming as have the shower doors. I also used it on my sink which was really manky and that too has been a success.
The testers say to pour a small amount of T cut onto a damp cloth and rub over the screen or taps taking care that it doesnt come in contact with any plastic trim or the sealant around the screen. Once it is dry, buff the surface with a lint -free cloth( I used a microfibre cloth of course!) You shouldnt use T cut on a plastic screen or allow it to come into contact with an acrylic bath as it contains a solvent. It also advises to use rubber gloves and use in a well ventilated room.
I got mine at Halfords - about £5.99 and bought the red bottle( original colour restorer)
I am well impressed !

:T Delighted it was successful for you janb5 :T
Good tip :T I'm glad you put in the cautions too
I'll continue with my other methods because even at £5.99 it's a bit pricey but very handy to know if someone runs out of other stuff and can sneak into their OH's toolbox and nab a bit~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I thought it was expensive too but it will last a long time and all the other stuff just didnt work. It is very ` sad` to want to show off a gleaming sink and shower!
BTW how do I put a title of a post in bold?

You can't put your own post in bold,(because you wrote it, you have read it) however it will be in bold for others until they have read it, at least that is how it is supposed to work, although there are plenty of poss,(very recent) that I have not read and they are not in bold.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
It always amazes me that there are loads of OSers reading posts ( 250) and only 6 replies............?0
