Official MoneySavingExpert.com insert:

John Lewis has reduced lots of hampers to clear including the Children's Drummer Basket, The Christmas Tray & more. The offer's while stocks last so hurry if you want one. Likely to be gone in most stores. Delivery for online orders is £3 if you spend under £30, free over that. Thanks to claire21 for the great find!

No idea on the use-by dates, but I brought the £10 one yesterday guessing that things like jelly babies and chocolate have a long enough shelf life to make it to my house and last a few days :) Not sure how long they'd last if you're thinking of keeping them for prezzie later in the year but to have for yourself I reckon you'd be fine!

I think the term miniature sleigh may mean it's quite small..but who knows

hehe was going to say the same. Does nayone know if the two sundae glasses come with the hamper? It doesn't say so but strange to put them in the picture.

    Happy moneysaving all.

You could always 'eat the treats' now and add your own as a gift for next xmas.... if you have space to hide/store a sleigh and bear, or two, depending on the number of kids etc.... as well as all the other grabbits bought in readiness! :p
  • :) Thanks Just sent one to my grandaughter

She needs cheering up as daddie has just gone to afghan again :(
:) If you see someone without a smile give them one of yours, :)

:) It wont cost you anything! :)
  • I bought a £65 Christmas Box for £17.50, but even then it was hardly worth the money. Most items are poor quality. The wine for instance is only £3.79 in Waitrose. I would have been disgusted if I had paid £65!

I impulse bought the £10 one with the felt house. You don't get sundae glasses with it. The red felt house is cute but I don't have any use for it. Instead of the gingerbread man kit, etc I got 2 little packets of Haribo jellybeans and jellymen, 2 chunky chocolate lollies, a little bag of those things they usually call choc footballs but they were caling these ones 'gems', and a xmas tree biscuit dipped in dark chocolate. The sweets I wouldn't pay more than a fiver for, so I feel a bit annoyed now:( I know they say contents can vary, but I'm going to see if I can return it.
