Help needed..

I was wondering if anyone knows how Heat mag inform people on their wins. (I checked the other thread but no mention of heat mag)

I got a message on FB today saying I had won the Glee Perfume comp on their facebook page and for me to send them my postal adress.
The message was from a regular person, not heat's page.
It does sound suspicious but the email she asked me to send it to was bauermedia, which is heats publisher?

They haven't announced the winner though on their fb page.. just feels a little odd..:o

So I'm not sure if it is real?

You could maybe try posting a message on Heat magazine's facebook page asking if it's a genuine message? Some people had to do the same on the New Look facebook comp a few days ago

I'm not sure about Heat, but I know OK has a person called Katy Kosta inform you of wins via FB, so this sounds genuine! Well done

Thanks for the tip. I tweeted them on twitter but I shall send a message too.
A bit strange how they didn't announce the winner!

It hasn't sunk in yet that I have won it because I am so paranoid about it.
Someone tried to fake my friends account a week ago to claim a prize of hers.
So although I am new to comping, I am a little guarded!

Hi

I've found this alot when getting wem's through fb. It's quite often a regular person rather than a company that contacts you. I'd think it was fine as seen as they have asked you to email them to their email address rather than just replying to the person on fb. Well done. xxx

Some don't announce the winner until they have confirmed prize acceptance (if the prize does not get claimed they move on to someone else).
