Ok it just seems a bit strange that you would want to pay more than your current rent to have the same house with the liability of a mortgage and repairs, im not knocking you for wanting to own but if prices fall you would stilll be entitled to full discount just on a lower valuation.
personally I purchased our council house but at the time it was cheaper to do buy it than to pay full rent (which we were doing)If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
