Woolwich OpenPlan & One Account

Hi All
I've been toying with the idea of the One Account for a while now, but have just started looking at the Woolwich OpenPlan Current Account Mortgage as it seems to offer similar facilities at a cheaper rate (5.14%). Are these accounts similar? - they do tie in your current account as well as savings in the offset bit...

I have a Barclays account at present - does this count as the current account or do I have to change this to a Woolwich account - thought they were one of the same these days..?

Any comparisons would be nice to hear about as this sounds a bit less hassle to setup...

ps: Woolwich, your online mortgage KFI part of the website is broken - see 'stage 2' Mortgage Product - it says 'Please Select..' but the drop down is empty! (maybe someone can confirm this?) - was hoping to get an illustration..

If you are interested in Offset and are a Barclays customer, make sure that you go to a Barclays branch as a Woolwich branch or broker cannot sell you a product that can offset your Barclays accounts. You can offset your existing current account plus up to another 11 savings accounts against it and view it on your Barclays online banking. There is a 0.39% above base Offset product available at the moment. HTH
