Now this my kind of swede http://www.jurgita.com/models-id10502.html

And now, does he realise how much he needs to *underspend* by in order to make up for it?
Or is he of the opinion that the past doesn't affect the present, and by implication the future?
He realises i am just not sure he knows how to implement it. I would like him to have a major light bulb moment as i think he needs it. He knows that no one else is using the account, so he has no excuses.
Hypno spoke to me about some measures, which i could adopt and i put them to him again. One of which is to leave his debit card at home and therefore he is not tempted. He has offered to do that, and will only draw out money at the beginning of the month.
I am not going to sub him money any more, thereby giving us both a false illusion that he is making money last and i won't be as resentful of it.
I think it struck home that the overdraft could have effectively been cleared a long time ago, with a little prudent budgeting and not really any hardship on his part. He will just have to plan for any treats like the rest of the household do.
I wish financially we were both on the same wavelength. life would be less complicated, but then again i would never have met such good online friends.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Sorry to hear about Mr Bob's affliction of statement blindness, perhaps these would help

I hope you're keeping back some turnips to award to yourself for that one Bob!
Sorry this is all happening again, though.

It has actually not been anywhere near as bad as the past KC. He used to go way over - hence the massive overdraft and credit card bills he ran up. This in a weird way is an improvement, albeit and expensive one as he is still paying Overdraft charges, even if it is approved!
He just needs to get silly ideas out of his head and knuckle down for a bit and he will be so much the better for it. I suppose i have been very soft really as i could see how much strain he has been under and i have helped out a lot, but in doing so it has not enabled him to deal with it all.
Now it has to be a *proper* effort on his part. We really want to back to where we were a few years ago with savings and something to look forward to.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Some positives from last month from my budget.
The food bill came to £212.07:D I reckon i can get this down to £150 this month.
Fuel came to £103.20
Some of which is claimable
Spends i didn't do as well on as i was subbing Mr.B- But i withdrew £80 from my bank account so i was £30 over:o
But some of these are areas to tackle and i reckon on food and spends i can get back over £80.:D Which will help with Birthday spends this month.
Other news is that i have made payments to Mortgage and CCards so i am now under £5000 on the joint debt so it is all going down.
Ist shop for month has come to £40 at T*sco Just going to check their online bill checker to see if it is comparible. Lots of reduced items, so i am hoping not to shop for next fortnight other than milk and veg.:D
I am recording my groceries and spends in sig..so i keep track.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Maybe i have statement blindness as i realize that i have knocked a considerable chunk of the debt since beginning of January
So maybe that is where some of my stress is coming from. lol

Don't spend. If you leave your wallet behind, there's no limit to the amount of stuff you can't buy.boredofbeingathome wrote: »I am not going to sub him money any more, thereby giving us both a false illusion that he is making money last and i won't be as resentful of it.
I shall share with you some words of wisdom [STRIKE]my grandpappy told me[/STRIKE] I swiped of t'internet <insert faint sounds of the Hovis music here...>
There are two strategies for dealing with the world. Some people with poor problem-solving skills base their strategies on things which they have experienced. People with good problem-solving skills base their strategies on their abilities to understand things, even if they conflict with their experiences.
The endpoint to all overspending is when the money comes to an end. Perhaps he needs to experience the money coming to an end in order to understand the concept of money coming to an end.boredofbeingathome wrote: »I wish financially we were both on the same wavelength. life would be less complicated, but then again i would never have met such good online friends.
You would, but it would probably have been a different route."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0
