Had an amazing shop tonight and wondered what your best ever bargain shop was?

Tonight I got around £35 worth of readymeals, veg, sandwiches and breads for just under £9!

There were so many bargains I felt all queasy at getting such good prices! :rotfl:

The checkout lady commented about what a bargain I had got!

Will be going every [STRIKE]Thursday[/STRIKE] Wednesday (thanks fairymoneysaver!) now. :rotfl:

This is a colleague offer btw. After Christmas, I purchased a Bronze Norfolk fresh turkey (which was frozen) for £5 and was priced at £45!

Got that for Easter - thanks to one of Mum's kind friends who has let us keep it in her freezer.

I would not buy ready meals even reduced but each to their own (and if you can use them!)- well done!!
My best one so far was 4 x 250-300g packs of local steak mince, each reduced to about 40p/pack- kept us in mince for a long long time!
There have likely been others too, but I tend to forget once they are in the freezer lol!

I got Fresh Cod loin yesterday in Asda Bootle at around 6.45pm for 40p a piece
this is really expensive chunky fish and was delicious and i have some more in my freezer
I think the fish counter closes at 7pm and they have to sell off what is left

I got 3 packs of dishwasher tablets for 20p a pack from Tesco, lasted 7 months. (managers special!)

I also got 4 packs of pancake mix for minus 25p a pack (as in they paid me 25p to take each one away) as the price was reduced and I had a voucher.

My was in Sainsburys I bought packets of stewing steak reduce from £3 (buy two for £5) to 40p each I got 10 I also got a few more odds and ends bread milk veg, when I came to pay the cashier said that minus 28p but I cant give you 28p I will have to call the supervisor, so I grabbed a bar of chocolate and paid her 7p (the buy 2 backs and save £1 had still worked)

OMG thats amazing!, I really need to go in late to my local Sainsburys, as I always shop first thing after dropping children at school and starting work, need to change my habits, well done you! x
  • In the good old says when we didn't have to use our hard earned cash to shop in Tesco and could use coupons I once got quite a bit of shopping including a box of wine and after the lad had scanned all of my coupons he said "oh we owe you 11p"!!
I was annoyed at myself for the miss calculation on coupon value but I got over it haha.
