in Cutting tax
Hello
I am trying to fill in my tax form for 2009 -2010. - I know it is a bit last minute but hey, better late than never!
I am self employed working through an agency. The "payroll" company deducts £20/wk as a fee for paying me. Can this amount be added to my tax return as a business expense.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide

Payroll company? If you are genuinely SE you shouldnt have one of these.
Normally such expenses are deductible but it sounds like a SE scam and you may find disclosing this expense if scruitinised ends it.0 -
Yes - not only does you 'employer' save employers National Insurance but he charges you £20 per week for the privilege. Are you seriously paid weekly as a self-employed person?0
