Time Statute Barred Debt - Banks

Hi - I'm aware of the rules regarding the 6 year limit statute bar on credit cards, loans etc, but does this apply to Bank Current Accounts that have not been accessed for over 6 years (and left overdrawn).
Would appreciate if anyone is aware of this as I have had 'feelers' put out by a DCA on behalf of my old bank. I confirmed nothing over the phone as they were asking for my DOB etc, but told them to write if they had anything to say to me. Thanks in advance

Yep, this would still apply providing you hadn't used the account for 6 years - there is a factsheet here which say types of debt are covered -http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/factsheet.php?page=25_liability_for_debts_and_the_limitation_actA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
